"the LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being." (Genesis 2:7)
So our souls are God's breath! The expression "Life is as short as a breath" does have a literal meaning, doesn't it? xD
That being said, don't even think about suicide. You have no right to take away something that doesn't belong to you. No sir, you don't own your life. You owe it to God.
